About Liberty First Political Action Committee

Liberty First PAC is a committee of tea party organizers, activists and liberty minded bloggers. We believe the liberty movement is shifting into campaign mode, and we want to help direct some of the focus into a carefully chosen slate of races that we believe we can have significant success in.

No Incumbent Endorsements
Liberty First PAC does not, nor will it ever support incumbents. While we certainly feel there are incumbents who place liberty first in their political decisions, we believe there are plenty of groups and committees out there to assist them. We believe that we as individuals can choose to support incumbents, but this committee chooses not to do so.

This is not to say we will oppose all incumbents, but we want it to be clear that we do not assist them through this committee.

Our Principles
Our principles are simple. Less government, less regulation and lower taxes.

We support candidates who place liberty (the Constitution) first when casting a vote or making critical political decisions. Not special interests, not populist issues (smoking bans, government healthcare, etc) but LIBERTY FIRST.

Incumbents We Oppose
While we do not oppose all incumbents, we certainly oppose any incumbent who supported or voted for any of the following pieces of legislation.
-Cap & Trade
-Government Healthcare
-TARP
-Stimulus Bailouts

Action Network
We’re currently developing an online action network that will translate online activity into offline political success.

The technology we use will enable online activists to contact representatives, network with others in their areas, plan and host candidate events, organize local political campaign activity and more.
