Our First Official Endorsement
Our involvement in the 2010 election process will be carefully planned. We don’t intend to become fully involved in a lot of races because we believe our focus needs to be streamlined and highly targeted in the short term.

Which makes our first official endorsement critical and vital for the efforts we’re putting forth through this Political Action Committee.

Marco Rubio

Liberty First PAC proudly supports Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate

Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate
The race for U.S. Senate in Florida has a lot of heads turned. The election has a lot of flavors similar to that of the highly controversial special election in New York’s 23rd Congressional District in late 2009.

These similarities being that the liberty movement has a solid representative in the race, and the old establishment is throwing its political weight behind a liberal Republican in an effort to trump the conservative voice in the electoral battle for Senate.

Marco Rubio, a strong advocate for liberty with a wealth of experience, has proven credentials across the board. Rubio served the Florida State Legislature as Minority Whip, Majority Leader, and finally… Speaker of the House.

Rubio’s key primary opponent, Charlie Crist, has time and again proven that he will betray liberty in favor of playing old school politics within the establishment and progressive movement. Crist has, for example, openly supported Federal bailouts, and he pushes for state cap-and-trade style legislation that does nothing but force hard working citizens into financial slavery.

Liberty Movement vs. Republican Establishment

Following the announcement of Crists’ intent to run for the seat, Rubio published a video stating “I welcome Charlie Crist to the 2010 Republican primary for the United States Senate. Our primary will offer Republicans a front row seat to a debate about the future of the Republican Party here in Florida and across the nation. My campaign will offer GOP voters a clear alternative to the direction some want to take our party. Let the debate begin.”

While this race is certainly about the future of the Republican Party, we believe it is also about the future of the free-market movement in general. The race for this seat represents a perfect opportunity for the movement to rally to the aid of a fellow movement activist in Marco Rubio.

We believe the movement should heed the call and unify behind Marco Rubio in his bid for a seat in the U.S. Senate. We feel strongly about his proven leadership skills, and the movement would be very fortunate to have his representation in Washington.

Liberty First PAC proudly endorses Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate.

Members of the Tea Party.Although I agree that Charlie Crist is not conservative enough I have my reservations about Marco Rubio. He was a driving force in allowing illegal immigrent work offices to open around the state.I live in Jupiter and we were forced to spend one million dollars to remodel a building so the illegals could congregate, inroll for work and have a bus service to pick them up and take them home.Ironic that it is right next to our police station. My neighbors did all we could do to stop this madness but itwas rammed down our throats. I want to know Mr. Rubio’s position on ILLEGAL immegrants before I will support him.Any input from others would be appreceated.Thank you and GO Scott Brown. God sent us an angel just when we needed it most. And they want to take God out of everything,HMMMM!

Do you have a way to attach link to his website and voting record?

  3. Vicki Padula says:

I will support the specific canidates that Tea Party endorses and encourage my group, La jolla Front porch Patriots to do the same.
Let me know about what we can do to help spread the word.

  4. Wendy Tuch says:

I’m with you, Vicki! The Tea Party movement is growing up, don’t you think?

  5. Kathy Jones says:

Marco desperately needs donations. RINO Charlie is so well connected statewide and the sheeples are pouring millions into his campaign.

Please donate whatever you can! Every dollar will make a difference. We must pave the way to victory for Marco in August.

  6. CORIANN says:

Charlie is a big disappointment, even though we didn’t expect a whole lot. Let’s spread the word and help Marco get lots of attention. We moved out of Orlando last year, but our hearts are with y’all. Most people want and need Marco’s kind of leadership and spirit. Go get ‘em!

  7. 113Directory says:

I’m on the West Coast in Pasco, but I still support Marco Rubio’s efforts for the Senate over Crist. Praying that many of the new senators and representatives that we send to DC can get some real industries and jobs brought back to Florida.

  8. Daryle says:

    Please,

I ask all tea party members, at the very least, to view Alexander Snitker: http://snitker2010.com

For truly liberty minded individuals, Alex isn’t the lesser of two evils, he is Florida’s best chance for liberty:

    - Fair Tax
    - Non-interventionist foreign policy
    - 10th amendment pledge

    Snitker for US Senate 2010
    Florida’s Liberty Candidate

    Thank You.

  9. ROBERT REIN says:

IF MARCO RUBIO IS HALF THE MAN I THINK HE IS HE STILL BEATS CHARLIE HANDS DOWN…CHARLIE IS ABOUT AS CONSERVATIVE AS ARNOLD SCWARTZENAGER, OLYMPIA SNOW, OR JOHN MCCAIN. THEY ARE REPUBLICANS IN NAME ONLY (RINO’S). WE AS VOTERS, NEED TO REFRAIN FROM AUTOMATICALLY VOTING FOR A PARTY.. WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED WHETHER OR NOT THE INDIVIDUAL HOLDS AND PROMOTES THE SAME VALUES OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS. OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS SHOULD BE WILLING TO PUT THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY BEFORE THE GOOD OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR PARTY. I AM A STAUNCH CONSTITUTIONALIST. I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRAT, OR INDEPENDANT. I WILL VOTE FOR THE PERSON WHO WILL UPHOLD THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION AND PUT THE NEEDS AND WELFARE OF THIS REPUBLIC FIRST. I DON’T CARE WHAT PARTY, RELIGION, COLOR, SEX OR SEXUAL PREFERENCE THEY ARE. I WANT A PERSON OF HONOR AND INTEGRITY, TWO COMMODITIES SOLELY LACKING IN OUR PRESENT DAY POLITICAL ARENA. THIS WHAT THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IS ALL ABOUT..GOD BLESS AMERICA. THE SLEEPING GIANT HAS AWAKENED…POLITICIANS BEWARE!!!!

  10. The Sleeping Giant has been awakened Again We must resolve through blood and tears to never, nenneverr, let this happen again.

  11. David Baxter says:

We need to do some thing. We are paying taxes for thing that does not help us at all, but just a small group. Here just one, I pay a fire tax each year, if you live close to a fire plug you get a discount on your house ins. This does not help me , and a lot of others at all. So why should we pay for others. It did not help put the fire out on my house when it bruned down at a total lost. Our country is in debt , but we still sent our tax dollars over to help other country that does not even like us. We pay for bus systems that is out of our areas so we will every use them. Our school system is going broke, so why don’t we go back to what we are promised reading math, not foot ball, music arts. There is so much waste we could cut out of the city, county, state, and fed. goverment, until we get back on our feet has a country, then we can look at special servies that we would like, but not for just for a few

  12. Gary says:

NOW IS THE TIME FOR A THIRD PARTY. WE HAVE HAD A TWO PARTY SYSTEM FOR OVER 100 YEARS AND LOOK WHERE WE ARE. PEOPLE ARE FED UP WITH WHAT IS HAPPING TO OUR COUNTRY. YOU CAN NOT JUST VOTE FOR THE LESSER EVEL OF THE 2 WE NEED A THIRD CHOICE. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO VOTE ONLY REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT. AND WHO HAS THE MOST MONEY TO BUY IN THERE SPOT IN THE ELECTION. PEOPLE THIS IS THE TIME TO SHOW BOTH PARTIES WE ARE TIRED OF THIER CRAP. AND WE THE PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE. THEY WORK FOR US. YOU GET THE SAME THING WITH REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT. NOTHING CHANGES IT JUST GETS WORST. SO ITS UP TO YOU AMERICA DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE THINGS OR KEEP GOING THE SAME WAY. I AM CHANGING MY PARTY TO THE CONSTITUTION PARTY. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THE SAME. AND LOOK AT BERNIE DECASTRO FOR US SENATE AT http://WWW.ELECTBERNIE .COM GOD BLESS AMERICA

  13. Larry Hensley says:

I just want to let the teapartiers out there that although many of us cannot rally to the cause because of work, age, circumstances, there are millions of us behind you. I will make my stand by voting for Rubio and encouraging others to do the same. Also, John McCain has to go.

  14. Scott says:

The Tea Party needs a platform – specific party stances on specific issues.
    For instance:
To keep politicians from playing the role of corporate whores, is the Tea Party for publicly financed campaigns?

Is the Tea Party for the continued insane spending and buildup of the military industrial complex?

Is the Tea Party for free trade? which per Democrats and Repubs means GATT, NAFTA, The World Bank, continued Globalization meaning American business continues to offshore American Jobs.

Is the Tea Party for seperation of church and state or do they favor a government based on Christian ideology, or if Islam continues to grow at its present rate, a Muslim state?

What is the Tea Party’s position on education and education funding. Our students are currently the poorest educated among 1st world countries. We’re the only country to have extracurricular athletics as a part of schools, others require it to be in the park and recreation system. Is the Tea Party in favor of using the money for real education or do they wish to continue spending great amounts of public school budgets to finance sports so adults in communities can have entertainment.

Is the Tea Party for allowing torture?

Is the Tea Party for aboloshing the Patriot Act or do they wish to continue the suspension of our Bill of Rights indefinetly?

Is the Tea party for recognizing corporate personhood? Is so, how will a grass roots movement have any say in decisions?

I could go on and on. What is the Tea Party and what are they about? We all know Washington has become totally corrupt and useless, but I’m not certain a party that courts kranks like Palin and Bachman has anything to offer – other than Christian religous fundamentalism and more unregulated capitalism – the two philosophies Reagan embraced 30 years ago and has lead to all the culture wars and our current economic issues. Be careful what you wish for you might get it. We need major change in the country but we don’t need to trade corruption for a medievel theocracy.

  15. pictoblu says:

Beware of the leftist agit-prop blather. I might be more concerned about the unconstitutional federal Social Engineering Taxing and Redistribution Complex then the military budget since the military budget is quite small compared to the cost of the welfare state: which is 70% of the federal budget. Like many irrational people, lefties have no sense of scale from which to draw rational or reasonable conclusions.

  16. ScoFo says:

That’s it. Just endorse whomever the Tea Baggers endorse. That’s the reason we are in this crisis to begin with. Because people simply vote along party lines. Why not spend some time and learn about ALL the candidates and then vote for YOUR interests. Or is American Idol on?

  17. Ron Edwards says:

Rubio may very well be what we need for Reform & Reclaiming our government. We need activism in government to shake the status quo. Both major parties have abandoned their core commitments of serving the American People. I think this individual is a good move.

  18. Carlos Montalvo says:

We Latin people, we need to know what about your future compromise with the US-Colombia Free Trade Agreement.
Colombian people in Florida, we could vote massively for Rubio.

  19. ScoFo says:

    Hey Pictoblu,

Maybe if the RIGHTIES would do things like…I don’t know….include the cost of the war in the federal budget, maybe the LEFTIES wouldn’t have to come along and try to clean it all up. But keep drinking the Kool Aid because that’s all that remains after you SOB’s ran the country for eight years.

Here’s a question…..name the Republican president that shrank the size of the federal government? Thank you. You can go back to watching Glen Beck now.

  20. Carla says:

    ScoFo,

That’s exactly the point of the Tea Party, to get politicians elected who embrace true Conservative values which means among many ideals, a smaller government. And that mission does not include endorsing pseudo Republicans like Bush and McCain. Have you even read the Tea Party platform? Or do you just feel compelled to plaster your ignorance on this forum as some sort of hateful counter argument?

The cost of war is nothing compared to the offensive waste of the government in every other department. Look at the current administration which lives like royalty on the taxpayers sweat during the worst recession in our history. Air Force One has become Obama’s personal jet and Michelle has 40 personal assistants, more than any other First Lady before her. This current administration has spent in one year what Bush did in 8 years. Here’s one question for you, Lefties: Who will fund your vast array of entitlement programs and the inflated government once the money runs out? Now go back to YOUR Kool Aid and cookies and CBS “news” and leave politics to those who truly care about their country and want to fix it.

  21. Carla says:

    Carlos Montalvo,

I would hope that you would vote for whoever would best serve the interests of this great country where you obviously reside. And I encourage you to tell your friends to do the same.

  22. Bruce says:

Pictoblu – a $700 billion dollar direct military budget is not a small amount of money. Add in the CIA and “Black Ops” and you are approaching 1 trillion dollars.

I agree with you that the welfare state needs to be chopped off at the knees but we need to seriously revisit why the USA has a military budget that is almost half of the worlds total military spending.

This site looks like it was just made by the republicans – for the republicans. I was stupid enough to vote straight republican for the last 30 years thinking that they would be fiscally responsible. We’ve seen where that brought us. I implore everyone not to let the republicans just absorb the tea party anger and votes – they don’t deserve another chance till they prove that they will look out for the voters best interest.

Join me in my blog to discuss these issues and perhaps find new leadership.
    regards,

  23. MJ says:

It would be a cold day in you know where before I would give my vote to Rubio! He will not represent the people of Florida – he represents himself and his wants! He is also a Jeb Bush puppet.

  24. Harry M says:

    Everyone Stop Now!

We the people wish to have a say in our Government, that is over sized ,over spent ,over debt, from Washington to our states, to our counties, to our cities. When will it become important to look at we the people have allowed. It is time for us to get back in control of our destiny and stop the waste and double dipping all for the almighty DOLLAR. There is no way we can continue on this road of fiscal irresponsibility and have an economic stability at the same time .

When are we the people going to stop and take a stands in our future not Charlie’s or Rubio’s, but ours.

I ask all Americans please vote and vote for the person that best represents us ,not big interest nor special interest. At this time in my life I see our property taxes out of control, school taxes out of control, government pension plans out of control, city hall out of control, start by taking back your local government and your county first, and on and on. The message will follow.

I do know one thing our schools haven’t hit bottom yet and corporate greed is still running ramped. And Banks are in full control.

I ask all good Americans do not be confused on what is really happening and what is really needed. Its time to take a position and I say lets clean City Hall all the way up. Do not fear the Unions or the people who tell you, you may not have this service or that. I say if you can’t give us what we want properly then I offer you the same opportunity all other good Americans have .You are welcome to work some where else if you can’t do the job “Period”. I don’t work for you, We the tax payers pays the bill and we don’t like how your doing the job, Next.
Sorry you might lose your pension or two, your medical benefits’ and that great 14 weeks of vacation sick leave etc.

But our kids are failing and no one has the guts to tell you it needs to be turn around and turned around NOW! Give it up should be the cry.

    Yours truly
    A patriot American..

  25. Patriots across this great nation must join together to make sure true Conservatives are elected. We have no time to waste with the distruction that is going on in Washington.

  26. Mike says:

I haven’t always agreed with the Republicans, especially the Bush bailouts and the fiscal irresponsibility of the Bush years but now our Republic is in real danger from the far Left.

Right now the only realistic alternative to socialism is the Republican Party. No third party will emerge that can defeat the Democrats in 2010 and 2012. Not to vote is also not an alternative.

This is a battle that the left is winning right now. My greatest fear is that we are moving past the tipping point and cannot stop this rush to socialism and massive governmental control of our lives.

Every democracy in history has failed and ended up as a totalitarian state. Check out the fates of ancient Greece (the birthplace of democracy) and ancient Rome. We are headed that way too unless we can reverse course and take back America soon.

  27. don says:

I would like to know more about rubio… we were fooled by crist lies and i never heard of rubio until a few weeks ago. i am scepticle of any candidate running. I dont see anyone willing to stand up for the people. lined pockets and favors tant congress and we need to vote out every single person in washington imo.

  28. Michaeel Milner says:

We can overturn this government & reclaim this country with out using our second ammendmant responsibilitys at the voteing booth. We must push for everybody to send Washington DC & state servants a message, & that being they work for us! Reelect no incumbants! Also stand up & make them pass legslation that no congress person can serve more than three terms & no Senator can serve for more than three terms. Governors like presidents no more than two terms. lobbiests cannot come into the Capitol of any state or Washington DC with out going to jail. Any politition caught taking a bribe or selling their vote needs to go to prison also. We need not lock & load just yet. It is an option, but a last resort. We don’t prosper with a cival war. We must also stop any tax breaks for a company manufacturing overseas. This was once a industrial powerhouse & all over the world “Made in America” ment something & people were willing to pay for the quality.
